IMPORTANT
•
While use of the Rockwell Automation gland plates makes
achieving an IP66 or NEMA 4 rating easy because of its inherent
seal, it can also be achieved by meeting the specific guidelines
below. If a Greenlee #730-5/8 punch or hole saw is used to make
holes, these guidelines will be difficult to meet. The enclosure
may have an IP20/NEMA 1 rating.

Custom gland plates can be constructed using machine shop
tools to achieve an acceptable hole-pattern per Custom Gland
Plate Drill Pattern and Ground Targets. Alternatively, a hole
pattern can be put in an enclosure wall using MDSA Drill Pattern
for Enclosure Walls and Ground Targets.
•
On a self-implemented gland plate or enclosure wall hole pattern,
care must be taken to ensure the integrity of the seals for an IP66
or NEMA 4 rating.
