Configuring the ACL number range for an edge

switch

VCM uses the ACL number range to restrict the ACL numbers available in VCM. When all ACL numbers

in the assigned range are used up, no more ACL configuration can be deployed to the edge switch from

VCM.
The ACL number range varies with device vendors.

The ACL number range for HP device is 100 to 199.

The ACL number range for Cisco devices is 2000 to 2999.

The ACL number range for H3C devices is 3000 to 3999.

The ACL number range does not affect ACL configuration performed on the device.
To specify the ACL number range:

1.

Click the Resource tab.

2.

From the navigation tree, select VAN Connection Manager > Edge Switch.
All edge switches appear in the edge switch list.

3.

Click the Operation icon

for an edge switch and select ACL Number Range from the shortcut

menu.

4.

Enter the start ACL number and end ACL number. The end ACL number must be greater than or
equal to the start ACL number.

5.

Click OK.

Specifying the maximum connections for an edge

switch

6.

Click the Resource tab.

7.

From the navigation tree, select VAN Connection Manager > Edge Switch.
All edge switches appear in the edge switch list.

8.

Click the Operation icon

for an edge switch and select Max. Connections from the shortcut

menu.

9.

In the Max. Connections field, enter an integer in the range of 1 to 1000. The default is 200.

10.

Click OK.

The Default Manger can be configured on EVB-supported edge switches only, and only one Default
Manger can be configured on each EVB-supported edge switch. If the edge switch cannot obtain the IP
