Configuring super aggregated VLANs

7

Commands for device D

Device D is at the other end of path and separates the channels back into individual VLANs. The
tag type must be the same as tag type configured on the other core device (Device C). In addition,
VLAN aggregation also must be enabled.

Brocade-D(config)# tag-type 9100

Brocade-D(config)# vlan 101

Brocade-D(config-vlan-101)# tagged ethernet 4/1

Brocade-D(config-vlan-101)# untagged ethernet 3/1

Brocade-D(config-vlan-101)# exit

Brocade-D(config)# vlan 102

Brocade-D(config-vlan-102)# tagged ethernet 4/1

Brocade-D(config-vlan-102)# untagged ethernet 3/2

Brocade-D(config-vlan-102)# exit

Brocade-D(config)# write memory

Commands for device E

Since the configuration in

Figure 12

is symmetrical, the commands for configuring device E are

identical to the commands for configuring device A.

Brocade-E(config)# vlan 101

Brocade-E(config-vlan-101)# tagged ethernet 2/1

Brocade-E(config-vlan-101)# untagged ethernet 1/1

Brocade-E(config-vlan-101)# exit

Brocade-E(config)# vlan 102

Brocade-E(config-vlan-102)# tagged ethernet 2/1

Brocade-E(config-vlan-102)# untagged ethernet 1/2

Brocade-E(config-vlan-102)# exit

Brocade-E(config)# vlan 103

Brocade-E(config-vlan-103)# tagged ethernet 2/1

Brocade-E(config-vlan-103)# untagged ethernet 1/3

Brocade-E(config-vlan-103)# exit

Brocade-E(config)# vlan 104

Brocade-E(config-vlan-104)# tagged ethernet 2/1

Brocade-E(config-vlan-104)# untagged ethernet 1/4

Brocade-E(config-vlan-104)# exit

Brocade-E(config)# vlan 105

Brocade-E(config-vlan-105)# tagged ethernet 2/1

Brocade-E(config-vlan-105)# untagged ethernet 1/5

Brocade-E(config-vlan-105)# exit

Brocade-E(config)# write memory

Commands for device F

The commands for configuring device F are identical to the commands for configuring device E. In
this example, since the port numbers on each side of the configuration in

Figure 12

are

symmetrical, the configuration of device F is also identical to the configuration of device A and
device B.

Brocade-F(config)# vlan 101

Brocade-F(config-vlan-101)# tagged ethernet 2/1

Brocade-F(config-vlan-101)# untagged ethernet 1/1

Brocade-F(config-vlan-101)# exit

Brocade-F(config)# vlan 102

Brocade-F(config-vlan-102)# tagged ethernet 2/1

Brocade-F(config-vlan-102)# untagged ethernet 1/2

Brocade-F(config-vlan-102)# exit
