CTIVATION OF THE EMERGENCY DESCENT IN THE CASE OF ACCIDENTAL DESTABILISATION OF

THE MACHINE

Considering that it is recommended to follow that stated in paragraph regarding the to sta‑
bilise the machine, for various reasons one of the outriggers may loose its grip on the
ground, thus varying the inclination of the machine or loosing contact of the plate on the
ground. If this occurs when the machine is at a height, it is blocked immediately, without
the possibility of further movements.
To restore platform functionality (close the aerial part and then restore stabilisation) it is
possible to use the electrical emergency descent by only following the return movements of
the aerial part.
If this is not possible due to the presence of objects that interfere with the manoeuvre, the
staff on the ground can allow the operator in the basket to close the machine. The operators
on the ground can by‑pass the machine’s safety devices and allow the operator in the basket
to close the machine or allow manual operations as described in paragraph in the preceding
paragraphs, in order to bring the operator back to the ground.

Read the instructions given below before making the manoeuvre as it is potentially dan‑
gerous for the operator in the basket.

Act as follows:

‑ Open the electric components compartment;

‑ Position the emergency key on the electric components box, withdrawing it from the side

of the same where it is lead‑sealed (see photo);

‑ Activate the emergency key by turning it in a anti‑clockwise direction and hold it in posi‑

tion (see sticker).
