6.8 MAIN DECLARED USES OF THE PLATFORM

Below find the specific warnings for machine uses, which are demonstrated most frequently.
That stated must be considered additional and not as a replacement of that contained in the
Use and Maintenance Manual.

6.8.1 P

LANT ENGINEERING

Make sure the parts where interventions are to take place are not live, if in doubt request
verification from the staff on the ground.
Do not go near to electric power lines.
Stay at a distance suitable to their voltage. (see paragraph “Danger of electric shocks”).

6.8.2 C

LOSED ROOMS

To perform the operations in closed places the Constructor recommends the use of the
machine with the electric engine. If this is not possible, make sure there is enough ventilation
to prevent the accumulation of gases that are damaging to the health.
If lighting in the workplace should be insufficient, additional lighting devices must be sup‑
plied.

6.8.3 U

SE FOR PRUNING

The performance of this activity requires some very important skills in order to prevent the
loss of stability of the machine! Remember that:

If branches or logs fall on the machine’s safety devices they will be broken;

Falling plant parts can ruin the machine;

Falling plant parts can press the emergency button on the ground. In this case you can‑
not control the machine and must request the intervention of the staff on the ground;

Tools used for pruning such as chainsaws exert a large force towards the outside of the
edge of the basket;

It is compulsory to previously check that the bush to be cut cannot fall on any part of the
platform or the basket.
