The Reader uses a low power visible laser diode. As with any bright
light source, you should avoid staring directly into the beam.
Momentary exposure to a CDRH Class II laser is not known to be
harmful.

ATTENTION: Laser Light: do not stare into the
beam. 660nm laser diode 1.0 milliwatt max output
Class II laser product.
