Client Requirements
Client requirements for compatibility with FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix:
 Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Vista Professional, Windows 7 (Windows 2000
is not supported).
 Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9, or 10.
 Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or later is required to view reports.
 Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is required to use RT and Charts Plus options.
.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is included on the installation DVD or can be downloaded
at no charge from Microsoft.
Your client workstation must also be permitted Intranet, Internet, or dial-in access to the
FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix server. Contact your IT support personnel for assistance.
Start ChartsPlus
Follow these steps to use the ChartsPlus option.
1. Click the ChartsPlus link in the web page header bar.
2. The ChartsPlus ClickOnce application will download from the server to your client
computer.
Depending on the speed and loading of your network, this operation may take up to a
minute to complete.
3. The initial ChartsPlus window is blank with a few menu items.
4. Select the File menu to create a new chart, save the chart you are currently viewing,
open a saved chart by using the Chart Manager, or exit ChartsPlus.
5. Select the View menu to select or de-select toolbars and chart grid lines
6. Select the Help menu for more information about ChartsPlus
Your browser should be set to check for newer versions of stored
pages automatically, not every visit to the page.
