Second Previous Fiscal Year (FY2007)

Multi-purpose Report Object Model

Several objects and collections have been added to the MPR object model to support fiscal
period reporting in custom reports.

Fiscal calendar functionality are enabled and disabled from the System Configuration
page via radio buttons. Fiscal Calendar functionality will be disabled by default. Fiscal
calendar related objects become visible in the web interface the next time a user logs in.

Select the Fiscal Calendar link in the System tab to view the fiscal calendar configuration
pages.

Viewing and editing of the fiscal calendar is done on two pages. The first page displays
all configured fiscal calendar years. A new year can be added by clicking Add a new
fiscal year link in the header bar. Existing years can be edited by clicking on the Edit
hyperlink next to the year.

A fiscal year is defined by specifying the start month, day, and the type of calendar. A leap
month can also be specified for non-natural fiscal calendars.

Fiscal Year

This is the year number. Typically fiscal years begin prior to a calendar year. For example,
FY 2009 began October 1, 2008 for many businesses.

Fiscal Calendar Types

Select the fiscal calendar type that reflects that in use in your business accounting
calendar.

Natural: This fiscal calendar has months that start on the first day of the natural month
and end on the last day of the natural month. The primary difference between a natural
fiscal calendar and a natural calendar is the start month.

4-4-5 weeks: This fiscal calendar provides fiscal quarters that consist of three months
of length of 4 weeks, 4 weeks, and 5 weeks.

4-5-4 weeks: This fiscal calendar provides fiscal quarters that contain three months of
length 4 weeks, 5 weeks, and 4 weeks.

5-4-4 weeks: This fiscal calendar provides fiscal quarters that contain three months of
length 5 weeks, 4 weeks, and 4 weeks.

It is the user's responsibility to verify the accuracy of the configured fiscal
calendars. FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix does not check for consistency, overlap or
underlap between adjacent fiscal calendar years. The View monthly calendars link
is helpful for validating newly-configured fiscal calendars.
