IEExec Operation of RT and ChartsPlus

You can optionally disable ClickOnce operation of these options and run them as Rich
Client applications in the IEExex.exe shell on your 32-bit Windows client computer.

If you operate these options in this way, make the following security settings on each
client computer:

1. Add the FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix server to the list of Trusted Sites.

To do this, follow these steps:

a.

Select Tools > Internet Options from the Internet Explorer menu, and select the
Security tab.

b. Select Trusted Sites and click Sites.

c.

Un-check the check box to require secure server verification

d. Add the FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix server's url to the trusted sites

5. Set the .NET Framework trusted sites security policy to Full Trust.

To do this, follow these steps:

a.

Open a command window: click the Windows Start button, select ‘Run’, type
‘cmd’, and press Enter.

b. Copy the text below into the command window after the prompt.

"C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\caspol" -m -
chggroup Trusted_Zone FullTrust

c.

Press Enter. When prompted, press Y and then press Enter.

d. When complete, close the command window: type ‘exit’ and press Enter.
