PowerMonitor 500 Unit

Connects to an Allen-Bradley PowerMonitor 500 panel-mounted meter by using the
Modbus RTU master driver integral to FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix software.
PowerMonitor 500 units can connect to the FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix server using serial
multidrop (RS-485) or Ethernet communication (using a serial to Ethernet gateway).

PowerMonitor 3000 (model) Unit on (communication type)

Connects to an Allen-Bradley 1404 PowerMonitor 3000. The following are supported:

Models

M4 and M5 - basic power and energy metering

M6 - basic power quality metering

M8 - advanced power quality metering

Communication Types

ControlNet network.

DeviceNet network.

Ethernet network - the older Ethernet protocol, also known as CSP or PCCC, used
with the Series A Ethernet PowerMonitor 3000 unit.

EtherNet/IP network - also known as CIP, used with the Series A Ethernet
PowerMonitor 3000 unit. Uses DeviceNet network addressing.

Remote I/O network - Must have a parent device such as a PLC-5, SLC 500 or
ControlLogix controller.

Serial network - Allen-Bradley DF1 half duplex master/slave.

PowerMonitor 1000 (model) Unit on (communication type)

Connects to an Allen-Bradley 1408 PowerMonitor 1000 unit. The following are
supported:

Models

TR1 - voltage/current transducer

TR2 - power transducer

EM1 - real energy submetering monitor

EM2 - energy and demand monitor

EM3 - full function power and energy monitor

Communication Types

EtherNet/IP network

Serial network - Allen-Bradley DF1 half or full duplex

Serial communication will not provide adequate performance in most cases. Please
