RSLinx Classic Software on 64-bit Server Tips

When you set up Devices such as power monitors, and PLCs, you need to access RSLinx
Classic software running on the server to configure drivers and network addresses of
devices. You access the RSLinx Classic user interface to perform tasks such as configure
drivers, monitor devices in RSWho, and set up OPC topics.

RSLinx Classic software is required to run as a Windows service. In Windows 2008
Server, when RSLinx runs as a service the user interface is not available to the user. The
user interface is only available when RSLinx runs as an application.

In Windows 2008 Server, follow these steps to access the user interface of RSLinx Classic
software.
