4.10 Resetting the Adapter

Changes to switch settings on some adapter parameters require
that you reset the adapter before the new settings take effect. You
can reset the adapter by cycling power to the drive or by using
Reset Module (9).

Set Reset Module (9) to 1 (Reset Module). See figure 4.27.

When you enter 1 (Reset Module), the adapter will be immediately
reset. When you enter 2 (Set Defaults), the adapter will set all
adapter parameters to their factory-default settings. The value of
this parameter will be restored to 0 (Ready) after the adapter is
reset.

ATTENTION: If the adapter is transmitting control
I/O to the drive, the drive may fault when you reset
the adapter. Determine how your drive will respond
before resetting a connected adapter. Failure to
observe these precautions could result in bodily
injury or damage to equipment.
