secActiveSize

Displays the size of the active security database.

SYNOPSIS

secactivesize

DESCRIPTION

Use this command to display the size of the active security database. The command also displays the
maximum database size.

For switches running Fabric OS v6.2.0 and later, the maximum security database size is 1 megabyte per
logical switch. With up to eight partitions, the total database size on a chassis can be up to 8 megabytes.
On switches that are not Virtual Fabric-capable, the security database is limited to 1 megabyte. For
switches running earlier versions of Fabric OS (up to v5.3.0), the maximum size is 256 Kilobytes.

NOTES

The effective security DB size is the lowest supported by the fabric. The presence of a Standby CP that
runs an earlier version of the operating system will drop the effective security DB size on an Active CP
that runs Fabric OS v6.2.0.

The Brocade 200E is unable to handle the maximum DB size supported in v6.2.0 and issues a compact
flash warning when the active security database is close to the 1 MB limit.

The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in
place. Refer to Chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS Commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for
details.
