PRELIMINARY
CALIBRATION
This procedure provides the steps necessary to initially calibrate the
coarse loop, fine loop, frequency instruction, and internal DVM cir-
cuitry and the 100 MHz reference oscillator of the 682XXB/683XXB.
Equipment
Setup
Connect the equipment, shown in Figure 4-2, as fol-
lows:
1. Interface the PC to the 682XXB/683XXB by per-
forming the initial setup procedure, pages 4-7 to
4-12.
2. Connect the Frequency Counter to the 682XXB/
683XXB when directed to do so during the cali-
bration procedure.
NOTES
If the 682XXB/683XXB has option 19 in-
stalled, verify that the GPIB is configured
for the
Native
external interface language
before beginning instrument calibration.
Before beginning this calibration proce-
dure, always let the 682XXB/683XXB
warm up for a minimum of one hour.
