Example

To set all ports on the module in slot 3 to mask the three least
significant bits of the DSCP, enter:

set port mask-diffserv 3 on

Assigning a Priority to a DSCP

Command

Use the set diffserv priority command to assign a priority to a
DiffServ code point (DSCP) in the DiffServ Mapping Table. The
syntax of the command is:

Avaya(configure)#set diffserv priority <priority> dscp <dscp-start-

range> [<dscp-end-range>]

Example

To assign a priority of 7 to DSCPs 15 through 63, enter:

set diffserv priority 7 dscp 15 63

{on | off}

Indicates whether the switch masks the
three least significant bits of the DSCP:

• Enter on to mask the bits.

• Enter off to not mask the bits.

The default setting is off.

The priority that you want to assign.
Enter a number between 0 and 7.

<dscp-start-range>

The first DSCP in the range of DSCPs that
you want to assign the priority to. DSCPs
range from 0 to 63.

[<dscp-end-range>]

The last DSCP in the range of DSCPs that
you want to assign the priority to. DSCPs
range from 0 to 63.
