Starting a Telnet Session

After changing the TCP port for Telnet requests to a port number
other than 23, you must specify the TCP port number in addition to
the IP address or host name to start a Telnet session.

For example, if you change the TCP port from 23 to 9998 on switch
192.168.0.126, enter telnet 192.168.0.126 9998 to start a Telnet
session.

For more information about the telnet command, see “telnet” in
Chapter 30, “UI,” in the Command Reference Guide for the Avaya P550R,
P580, P880, and P882 Multiservice Switches, Version 5.3.1
