4. Click APPLY to add the static route, or CANCEL to restore

previous settings. When you click APPLY, you are returned
to the AppleTalk Static Route dialog box.

Using the CLI

To create an AppleTalk static route using the CLI, enter the
following command in Interface mode:

(config if-<interface-name>:)#

appletalk static

cable-range <cable-range> to <network.node>

[floating] zone <zone-name>

Editing AppleTalk Static Routes

You can edit AppleTalk Static routes using either the Web Agent or
the CLI.

Using the Web
Agent

To edit an AppleTalk static route using the Web Agent:

1. Select Static Route from the Routing > AppleTalk >

Configuration group on the Web Agent window. The
AppleTalk Static Route dialog box opens
(Figure 6-125).

Node

Enter the next hop node identification number. This
number must be between 1 and 253.

Type

Select the type of static route. The options include:

High - The static route is not superseded by a

route update.

Low - The static route can be superseded by a

route update.

Zone

Enter an AppleTalk zone name assigned to this route.
Zone names may be up to 32 characters in length.
