Business Continuity Manager creates this file for the first
device address domain of the route when the route list
definition has completed.
Used to register a command device in the storage system
and to use the Remote DKC control function and Cnt-Ac S
consistency preservation function.

Purpose

This file is created when the route list definition file is

Required settings for configuration files

This section describes the ISPF panel settings that are required to create configuration files. You
must set the following information from the ISPF panel:

Enter information in the following fields in the Discover/Define Configuration ISPF panel (accessed
by selecting 3 Discover/Define Configuration from the Main Menu):

Primary site device number

Secondary site device number

Copy types of copy groups (such as BC Z, Cnt Ac-S Z, TCA, or Cnt Ac-J Z)

Detailed information settings on the copy pairs of the primary site and other sites

Storage system routing information and command device settings

Logical and physical path settings

The settings the user enters from the ISPF panel are written into configuration files (the XML files).
Multiple XML files are created for different types of settings.

Preparing the configuration files on each site

For 2DC configurations and 3DC configurations, you need to prepare, at each site, configuration
files for one or more other sites in order to enable operations to continue at each site when a
disaster occurs. For details on how to prepare the configuration files, see

“Configuration definitions”
