Execute the YKRESYNC DELTAJNL ERRCHK command for the delta resync pair.

YKQUERY

YKRESYNC DELTAJNL ERRCHK

If the YKRESYNC DELTAJNL ERRCHK command completes successfully, delta resync will succeed
and the YKRESYNC DELTAJNL command can be performed safely.

If an error message (YKZ251E, YKZ253E, YKZ255E, or YKZ257E) is produced after the YKRESYNC
DELTAJNL ERRCHK

command was executed, delta resync cannot be performed due to the cause

indicated in the message. Read the message and remove the cause of the error. Then execute the
YKRESYNC DELTAJNL

command to perform delta resync.

Delta resync can only be performed if all of the conditions in

Table 109 (page 452)

are satisfied.

Execute the YKQUERY command for the Cnt Ac-S Z copy pair, Cnt Ac-J Z copy pair, and delta
resync pair to confirm that all conditions are satisfied. If all conditions are not satisfied, perform
copy pair operations.

Table 109 Required Conditions to Perform Delta Resync

How to check

Condition

pair, and then check the copy pair status.

The pair status of all delta resync pairs is either HOLD or
NODELTA. Note that only delta resync with full copy (the
YKRESYNC ALLJNL

command) can be performed for a delta

resync pair with the NODELTA status.

Execute the YKQUERY command for the Cnt Ac-S Z
pair, and then check the copy direction and copy
pair status.

The copy direction is from the primary site toward the local
site (from the local site toward the primary site during failback)
and the pair status is SWAPPING.

The copy direction is from the local site toward the primary
site (from the primary site toward the local site during failback)
and the pair status is DUPLEX.

Execute the YKQUERY command for the Cnt Ac-J Z
pair, and then check the copy direction and copy
pair status.

All Cnt Ac-J Z pairs have the copy direction from the primary site
to the remote site (from the local site to the remote site during
failback) and have the pair status of DUPLEX, SUSPOP, SUSPER,
or SUSPCU.

Execute the YKQRYPTH command, and then confirm
that there are no path status errors.

The inter-DKC path between the P-VOL and the S-VOL of a delta
resync pair is functioning without error.

Execute the YKQRYDEV command or check from the
system to make sure that the S-VOL of a delta resync
pair is not online
