13. From the primary site, execute the YKRESYNC DELTAJNL command for the delta resync pair.

YKRESYNC DELTAJNL

YKEWAIT GOTO(DUPLEX)

If the command is successful, the Continuous Access Journal Z copy pair at the local site and
the remote site is automatically moved to the HOLD status (delta resync pair).

Operation is returned to normal.

NOTE:

If during operation the status of a delta resync pair changes to HOLDTRNS, NODELTA,

or HOLDER, see

“Actions to be Taken When the Delta Resync Function Cannot be Set Up or

Operated Successfully” (page 445)

Operating procedure during a primary site storage system failure (with no information
lost from memory)

The following are the procedures to be performed when a failure, with no information lost from
memory, occurs at the primary site storage system.

Failover

The failover procedure to be performed when a failure, with no information lost from memory,
occurs at the primary site storage system is in the same as the failover procedure to be performed
when a failure, with information lost from memory, occurs in the primary site storage system. See

“Failover” (page 422)

in

Failback

1.

Recover the primary site storage system from failure.

2.

From the local site, execute the YKDELETE command for the Continuous Access Journal Z
copy pair.
