The ATTIME suspension information is canceled when one of the following commands is executed
for the BC Z copy group:

The YKSUSPND command with the CANCEL parameter

The YKDELETE command without the DEVN parameter

The YKRESYNC command

Note that this command cannot be executed after the ATTIME suspend information is set and
before suspension (while ATTIME suspension is being reserved).

The ATTIME suspension information is also canceled when the YKDELETE command is executed
for the Cnt Ac-J Z copy group that is linked with the BC Z.

If the ATTIME suspension information is canceled after suspension, the time of suspension (backup)
will be lost. Before executing the command to cancel ATTIME suspension information, use the
YKQRYDEV

command to read the ATTIME suspension information and record any information that

is necessary for restoration.

When the YKRESYNC command with the REVERSE parameter is executed for a Cnt Ac-J Z copy
pair to restore data from the Cnt Ac-J Z S-VOL, an error will occur if ATTIME suspension information
is set for the BC Z that is linked with Cnt Ac-J Z. To avoid this, you should read the ATTIME
suspension information by using the YKQRYDEV command. If ATTIME suspension information is
set, cancel it by executing the YKSUSPND command with the CANCEL parameter specified.

Monitoring status and changing configurations in a 3DC Cascade (Cnt
Ac-S Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration

This section explains operational procedures in a 3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-S Z x Cnt Ac-J Z)
configuration.

Make a copy pair for the Cnt Ac-S Z copy group first, and then for the Cnt Ac-J Z copy group.
Once a copy pair is created, Cnt Ac-S Z and Cnt Ac-J Z copy groups are monitored periodically.

Note the following points when you use Business Continuity Manager in a 3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-S
Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration:

If any recovery work is required for the storage system, contact service representative.

When specifying DEVN in a CLI command, use the DEVN that has been assigned on a host
where the command is to be executed. This is because a different DEVN might be assigned
to the same volume on the primary and secondary hosts.

In a 3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-S Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration, you cannot acquire the consistency
time and C/T delta for Cnt Ac-J Z.

The figures in the procedures contained in this section use the following legend:

Monitoring the Copy Status

From the primary host, make sure that the Cnt Ac-J Z copy group status is DUPLEX, and then monitor
the copy statuses of Cnt Ac-S Z and Cnt Ac-J Z copy groups.
