Define an EXCTG between the local and remote sites (UREX2 in

Figure 102 (page 280)

).

Make sure that the value (1, 2, or 3) you specify for MIRROR ID in the Copy Group
Attributes For Container (UR) panel in this step is different from the mirror ID that you
specified for the EXCTG UREX1.

When you specify journal group numbers for sub C/T ID (JNLG) in the Copy Group
Attributes (CAJ) panel (or the Setting C/T ID Attributes panel), specify the same values
as the sub C/T ID (JNLG) for the EXCTG UREX1 (05 and 06 in

Figure 102 (page 280)

).

When you specify an EXCTG ID for EXCTG ID (Forward) in the Copy Group Detail
Definition panel, specify the same value as the EXCTG ID (Forward) for the EXCTG UREX1.

Define Cnt Ac-S Z copy groups that use the Cnt Ac-S Z Consistency Preservation Function by
dividing a copy group container (TCCG) by storage system (TCG1 and TCG2 in

Figure 103 (page 280)

).

Define Cnt Ac-J Z copy groups by dividing the EXCTG UREX1 by storage system (URG1 and
URG2

in

Figure 104 (page 281)

).

6.

Define Cnt Ac-J Z copy groups by dividing the EXCTG UREX2 by storage system (URG3 and
URG4

in

Figure 105 (page 281)

).

7.

Transfer the copy group definition file that contains the above definitions (steps 1 to 6) to the
local host and the remote host.

8.

Execute the YKMAKE command for the Cnt Ac-S Z copy group container (TCCG) to create a
copy pair.

9.

Execute the YKEWAIT GOTO(DUPLEX) command to continue monitoring until the status has
changed to DUPLEX.
