The term "storage system failure, with information lost from memory," indicates a failure

that causes the loss of information in memory. In such a failure, the copy pair information and the
data are completely lost, so the hardware information must be reconfigured.

Performing primary site storage system maintenance

The following are the procedures for primary site storage system maintenance.

The procedure below applies when you perform a failover to remote site 1. To perform a failover
to remote site 2, replace remote site 1 with remote site 2 in the procedure.

Failover

Stop operation at the primary site.

From remote site 1, execute the YKDELETE command for the Continuous Access Journal Z
copy pair between the primary site and remote site 2.
