Recover the path failure.

Recovering

To recover to normal operation:

Use TPC-R on the primary host to restart the copying of the Cnt Ac-S copy pairs with the
HyperSwap attribute.

Operation is returned to normal.

Operating procedure during a local storage system failure (with information lost from
memory)

The following are the operating procedures taken when a failure, with information lost from memory,
occurs in the the local storage system.

Preparing

To prepare for maintenance:
1.

Load a route list in which the route from the primary storage system to the remote storage
system is defined so that information about the remote storage system can be acquired.

2.

Use TPC-R on the primary host to stop Cnt Ac-S copy pairs with the HyperSwap attribute.

3.

Recover the local storage system failure.

Recovering

To return to normal operations:
1.

Use TPC-R on the primary host to dissolve Cnt Ac-S copy pairs with the HyperSwap attribute.

2.

Use TPC-R on the primary host to reconfigure paths for Cnt Ac-S copy pairs with the HyperSwap
attribute.

Remote Web Console also can be used to reconfigure the paths.

3.

Use TPC-R on the primary host to make Cnt Ac-S copy pairs with the HyperSwap attribute.

Cnt Ac-S copy pairs with the HyperSwap attribute are moved to the DUPLEX status.

4.

On the primary host, reconfigure the path between the local storage system and the remote
storage system.

Remote Web Console also can be used to reconfigure the path.

5.

Execute the YKRECVER command for Cnt Ac-J Z copy pairs that are between the local storage
system and the remote storage system.

Cnt Ac-J Z copy pairs between the local storage system and the remote storage system are
moved to the SIMPLEX status.
