request to the scanner or bridge module
(download).

The scanner or bridge module transmits the
Explicit Message Request to the slave device
over the EtherNet/IP network.

The slave device transmits the Explicit Message
Response back to the master.

The controller retrieves the Explicit Message
Response. It may be required to repeat steps 1-
3, depending on the amount of data.

The Explicit Message is complete.
