Wireless locating based on iNode sampling
points
Wireless locating based on iNode sampling enables iNode clients to collect AP data. WSM locates
concerned users by locating the terminals that are installed with iNode clients. Wireless locating
based on iNode sampling is implemented in cooperation with UAM and iNode clients.
Before performing wireless locating, complete the following configurations in UAM:
•
Service configuration management—Configure services for access users that you want to locate.
•
Access device management—Configure the AC as the access device.
•
Portal authentication management—Configure portal authentication. iNode clients for Android
and iOS support only portal authentication. Laptops and PCs that access the network through
wireless NICs also support 802.1X authentication, which needs to be additionally configured.
•
Wireless SSID group management in the access scenario management—Add SSIDs used by the
access users to wireless SSID groups. WSM supports specifying different portal authentication
pages for SSIDs in different wireless SSID groups.
•
RADIUS authentication on the AC
For more information about the configurations, see H3C IMC User Access Manager Administrator
Guide.
This information uses iNode clients to refer to terminals that are installed with iNode clients.
Configuring wireless locating parameters
To enable iNode clients to automatically send collected data to WSM, configure wireless locating
parameters in UAM.
Wireless locating parameters take effect only after you enable the policy server.
To enable the policy server:
1.
From the navigation tree, select User Access Manager > Service Parameters > System Settings >
Policy Server Parameters.
