Installing the Pump

Connect the solvent tubes to the outlet connectors (typically right connection
of the channel) of the vacuum degasser.

Connect the syringe adapter from the degasser accessory kit to the solvent
tube of channel A.

Using a piece of sanding paper connect the waste tubing to the purge valve
and place it into your waste system.

If the quaternary pump is not part of a Agilent1100 System stack or placed on
the bottom of a stack, connect the corrugated waste tube to the waste outlet
of the pump leak handling system.

Connect the pump outlet capillary (quaternary pump to injection device) to
the outlet of the purge valve.

Prime your system before first use (see “Priming and Purging the System” on
page 28).
