RESET SWITCH FDB

Syntax

reset switch fdb [port=

port

]

Parameter

port

Specifies the port whose dynamic MAC addresses you
want to delete from the MAC address table. You can
specify more than one port at a time.

Description

This command deletes the dynamic MAC addresses learned by the
switch. You can delete all the dynamic addresses of addresses learned on
a specific port. After a port’s dynamic MAC addresses have been deleted,
the port begins to learn new addresses.

Example

The following command deletes all the dynamic MAC addresses in the
switch’s MAC address table:

reset switch fdb

The following command deletes all the dynamic MAC addresses learned
in port 5:

reset switch fdb port=5
