CSV copy group rules

This section describes the rules for defining a copy group when using a CSV file.

When the copy type is Business Copy:

If no consistency group ID is defined, all copy pairs described in the CSV file are defined
as the same copy group.

If a consistency group ID is defined, copy pairs with the same storage system serial number
and consistency group ID are defined as the same copy group.

Figure 109 (page 293)

shows an example of a copy group definition when the copy type is

Business Copy.

When the copy type is XP Continuous Access:

If no consistency group ID is defined, all copy pairs described in the CSV file are defined as
the same copy group.

If a consistency group ID is defined, copy pairs with the same consistency group ID and the
same storage system serial number on the primary or secondary site are defined as the same
copy group.

When the copy type is XP Continuous Access Asynchronous, copy pairs with the same consistency
group ID and the same storage system serial number on the primary or secondary site are defined
as the same copy group.

shows an example of a copy group definition when the copy type is XP

Continuous Access or XP Continuous Access Asynchronous.
