controller to transmit data back to the host computer, an additional message is
sent immediately after the receipt. The format of these messages is the same as
messages sent to the controller.
The tables in the Instruction Summary show the order that data is expected by the
controller or, conversely, the order that the data will be sent from the controller.
The title of each action is seen from the point of view of the MDC-260. A
“Send a Process”
command will prompt the MDC-260 to transmit a
message to the host computer containing parameter data for a particular process.
A “Receive a Process” command will command the MDC-260 to receive
data from the host computer containing parameters for a process, and will
overwrite the existing data for that process.
