PREPARATION FOR USE

As the CEL-281 Dosimeter measures and stores all parameters simulta-
neously, it can be operated using stored or default settings immediately
the batteries have been installed. Apart from clock settings, there are
only three other items that may need setting to match the particular
measurements that are to be undertaken.

These items determine the values that will be used for indicated calibra-
tion level, time weighting, and frequency weighting in the forthcoming
measurement run. However once these settings have been made, they
could well be suitable for a whole series of measurements, so that no
further setting changes need be made when the instrument is next used.

This chapter contains the procedures required to make the following
preparations.
