14.

If it is required to change the time weighting in use, follow the
instructions in Section 4.7.1.

15.

If it is not to be used immediately, switch the dosimeter OFF
(ON/OFF switch in outer latched position) to conserve battery
power.

Other calibrators are not recommended for calibration of the CEL-281, as
no other suitable acoustic coupler is available. The calibration of both the
CEL-281 and the calibrator used should be verified at least every year.
Please contact your local CEL Agent or the CEL Service Department at
Hitchin for details of their calibration services.

Setting Clock Functions

The real time clock controls all instrument timing, so that once the cur-
rent time and date have been set, up to ten different sets of start and
stop times and dates can be set.

These times and dates will all be saved, even after the instrument has
been switched OFF and the batteries removed.

4.6.1

Setting Current Time and Date

Caution

When delayed start and stop times and dates
have been set, ANY changes to the real time
clock disable their operation, and will require
that all delays are reset.

Set the current time and date as follows.

1.

Ensure that batteries are loaded following the instructions
contained in Section 4.3, and that they have sufficient power for
the forthcoming measurement task (Section 4.4).
