5.3 Both Sides Adjust 5
You may start from either the Adjustment Menu Screen or the Utility Menu Screen, as both provide the same
adjustments of the reference positions on the print side.

5.3.1 Registration Loop Adjustment
Adjust the amount of registration loop individually for front and back sides in order to prevent paper from be-
ing skewed or wrinkled.
NOTICE
Perform the Registration Loop Adjustment as preliminary preparation for the Chart Adjustment or Zoom/Im-
age Shift Adjustment.
If the amount of loop is made too large, paper may be folded or wrinkled. On the other hand, if the amount of
loop is made too small, paper may be skewed. Be careful in setting an adjustment value.

Press the [MACHINE] tab to display the Machine Screen.

Press [Both Sides].
The Both Sides Adjust Screen will be displayed.
2 Recalling a paper profile
When performing the Both Sides Adjust for paper registered as a paper profile, recall the desired
paper profile by pressing [Paper Setting] – [Recall] on the Machine Screen or Copy Screen.
3 Performing the Registration Loop Adjustment
Adjust the amount of registration loop individually for front and back sides when the current set-
ting for the Registration Loop Adjustment cannot prevent paper from being skewed or wrinkled.

4 Performing the Chart Adjustment
Make this adjustment when numerical data of misalignment between front and back sides is un-
known. See page 5-40 for details.
Proceed to 5 when numerical data of misalignment between front and back sides is known.
5 Performing the Zoom/Image Shift Adjustment
Make fine adjustment that cannot be made by the Chart Adjustment. This is also used when nu-
merical data of misalignment between front and back sides is known. See page 5-45 for details.
