Make this setting to smooth the jagged outlines of the text or line images.
NOTICE
This setting is effective only for 1200 dpi output images to be processed by the image controller. Neither the
machine nor the image controller requires a restart operation after the setting change.
NOTICE
Booklet, Adhesive Binding, or Combine of Application Setting on the Job Ticket Edit Screen cannot be spec-
ified for the file containing images of different compression modes inserted on the Image Page Edit Screen.
NOTICE
The title number given to [Expert Adjustment] will be [04] for the machine without Image Controller IC-601,
or [05] for the machine with that option mounted.

Follow the procedure on page 10-3 to display the Administrator Setting Menu Screen.

Press [01 System Setting], [04/05 Expert Adjustment], [04 Quality Adjustment], and [04 Controller Image
Comp. Set] in sequence.
The Controller Image Compression Setting Screen will be displayed.

Select either [Standard] or [Anti-aliasing] on the right side of [Compression Mode (1200dpi)].
% Selecting [Anti-aliasing] can smooth the jagged outlines of the text.

Select either [Gradation Priority] or [Resolution Priority] on the right side of [Image Compression
(1200dpi)].
% Selecting [Resolution Priority] can smooth the text or line images jagged in the edges.

Press [OK] to complete the setting.
% To cancel the change, press [Cancel]. In either case, the Quality Adjustment Menu Screen will be
restored.
