Loading Paper

Load paper into the tray.
% Align the stack of paper to the left side of the tray.
NOTICE
Do not load above the limit level indicated on the side guide of
the tray.

Align the rear guide to the paper.
% Pressing the lock release lever, align the rear guide to the
edge of paper.
NOTICE
Be sure that the rear guide is securely aligned to the paper. If
any gap is left between the rear guide and paper, the machine
cannot detect the correct paper size, and machine trouble may
be caused.

Push in the tray until it locks into place.
The Amount indicator of the tray will change from

on the Machine Screen and Copy
Screen.
NOTICE
Do not bump the tray into the main body. Otherwise, machine trouble may be caused due to unexpected
shock.

Loading Small Size Paper in Paper Feeder Unit (Trays 4 to 6)
The paper feeder unit is of the following two models.
-
Paper Feeder Unit PF-704 (trays 4 to 9)
-
Paper Feeder Unit (with scanner) PF-705 (trays 4 to 6)
The minimum width of the side guides of the paper feeder unit is 139.7 mm.
Both trays are provided with small size guides to accept small size paper of 100 mm in width at minimum.
To load postcards into the tray, follow the procedure for loading small size paper. If the machine is installed
with two units of paper feeder unit, do not load small size paper, such as postcards that should be loaded
using small size guides of side guides, into the tray of the second unit.

When loading a paper size larger than the minimum width of the side guides, do not open the small
size guides.

Be sure to open small size guides as a pair when using the small size guides. Do not open only a half
of them to load paper.

Trays of the second unit (trays 7 to 9) cannot be used to load small size paper using small size guides.
