63 When setting [Controller]-[Scan Setting]-
[File Name] on the main body, two-byte
characters (up to 32 characters) should be
entered for the beginning of the file name to
be automatically assigned. Characters can be entered regardless of
whether they are one byte or two bytes.
Off: Up to 11 one-byte characters can be
entered.
On: Up to 32 characters can be entered,
regardless of whether they are one byte
or two bytes.

Two-byte characters can be entered
via PageScope Web Connection (Ad-
ministrator Setting), not from the con-
trol panel. However, the touch panel
is available to display up to 32 two-
byte characters.
• Alphabetical symbols, Roman, Kana
and Chinese, or Katakana (one-byte
or two-byte) can be entered.
• Up to 32 characters can be entered,
regardless of whether they are one
byte or two bytes.
• For a file name when using Scan to
HDD, up to 47 one-byte characters
(23 two-byte characters) can be en-
tered. The rest of the name is dis-
carded.
Also for a file name of each destination
when Scan to HDD is specified in Group
Specification, up to 47 one-byte charac-
ters (23 two-byte characters) are valid,
and the rest of the name is discarded
64 When sending data with register marks,
only black (K), not mixed colors of CMYK,
should be used for the marks on mono-
chrome pages. Options:
Off: Use CMYK mixed to print register
marks on monochrome pages
On: Use black (K) only to print register
marks on monochrome pages
66 Settings made for output by way of a print-
er driver or PageScope Direct Print are nor-
mally used in preference to those made in
[Controller]-[Direct Print Setting] on the
main body. The settings made in [Direct
Print Setting] should be given priority in
output. Off: Give priority to printer driver/Page-
Scope Direct Print settings
On: Give priority to [Direct Print Setting]*
