29/30 Color conversion method for data without
PJL commands
The color conversion in KM-specific style
cannot be made in printing without using a
printer driver or PageScope Direct Print. The color conversion method can be
changed for printing without using a
printer driver or PageScope Direct Print.
Important:
When changing this setting, make sure
to turn off the sub power switch and then
turn it back on in order to retain the set-
ting.
Options:
29 = Off, 30 = Off: An embedded profile
will be used instead of the color conver-
sion method in KM-specific style.
29 = On, 30 = Off: The color conversion
method in KM-specific style will be used
and the embedded profile will be ig-
nored.
29 = Off, 30 = On: The color conversion
method in KM-specific style and also the
embedded profile will be used irrespec-
tive of the color conversion setting.
31 The embedded profile is used for printing a
TIFF file with the color conversion setting
turned OFF. The embedded profile will not be used
for printing a TIFF file with the color con-
version setting turned OFF.
32 Determining a zip file to be XPS or PPML
should be controlled when the data is re-
ceived. Determination of the received zip file can
be switched between XPS and PPML.
Options:
Off: XPS
On: PPML

33 When outputting PCL data in duplex mode,
blank pages on back sides are ignored. Blank pages on back sides will also be
printed. These blank pages will not be
charged.
34 Having a large number of PS fonts down-
loaded, the machine may take a long time
to print the PS font list. The machine can improve the print
speed for PS font list by not outputting
samples of downloaded fonts but pro-
viding font names only on the font list.
36 When PCL/TIFF/XPS data of mixed origi-
nals (A4 w/v) is output, the binding posi-
tion of landscape originals is at risk of
change in comparison with the output from
the PS driver. The binding position will be kept similar
to that in output from the PS driver.
38 Whether to use mixed colors of CMYK or
black (K) only should be selectable to out-
put the black color (R=G=B=0) of PCL da-
ta. Off: Use black (K) only
On: Use CMYK mixed
39 Whether to use mixed colors of CMYK or
black (K) only should be selectable to out-
put the gray color (R=G=B) of PCL data. Off: Use CMYK mixed
On: Use black (K) only
40 The machine should automatically select a
tray loaded with paper size closest to the
original size when printing. When output paper size is set to [Auto],
output tray is set to [Auto], and this
switch is set to [On], a paper tray loaded
with paper size closest to the original
size is automatically selected for printing.
However, if no appropriate paper size is
loaded in a tray, the machine prints on
the paper normally selected by APS (Au-
to Paper).
