Measure the misalignment between + marks [1] to [4] on the back side (having [back] printed) and the
same marks on the front side (having [front] printed) of the output chart.

% The gray + mark in the figure below represents the one on the front side, and the black + mark on

the back side.

% Using a scale, measure the horizontal (X-axis) and vertical (Y-axis) misalignments in each print po-

sition. You can measure and enter the value in 0.1 mm increments.

% As shown in the figure below, if the + mark [1] on the back side is misaligned rightward by 0.5 mm

and downward by 0.3 mm from that on the front side, the print position [1] needs to be corrected
by +0.5 mm and +0.3 mm in the X direction and Y direction, respectively.

% Be sure to make note of the measured values including a plus or minus sign.

14

Press [X] or [Y] of the points from [1] to [4], and then enter the measured value using the touch panel
keypad or control panel keypad.

% You can change the value by pressing [,] and [+].

% Use [+/-] to specify the value to be positive or negative. If the + mark on the back side is misaligned

rightward or downward, select the plus sign. If it is misaligned leftward or upward, select the minus
sign.

% Press [Clear] to reset the entered value to [0].

15

When completing the entry, press [Adjustment Start].

% If you do not start the adjustment, press [Close].

% Pressing either [Adjustment Start] or [Close] clears the entered value to [+0.0].

The Both Sides Adjust Screen will be restored.

16

When the Chart Adjustment is completed, press [Close].

The Machine Screen will be restored.
