Check the Air-Conditioner Sight Glass

The air-conditioner sight glass should be

checked to see if the system is functioning

properly.

The receiver/drier, 1, is located on the back of the

condenser, in the front grille of the tractor on the

2360 and 2425 tractors (shown in illustration). It

is located on the rear left hand hood support on

the 2290, 2335 and 2375 tractors. Check the

sight glass on the top of the receiver tank every

250 hours. If clear, the system is in good

condition; if bubbles flow across the sight glass

with the engine running, the system may be low

on refrigerant. If the glass is cloudy, it is an

indication that the system is contaminated with

moisture. When moisture is present, the dryer

will have to be replaced by qualified air-

conditioning service technicians. Contact your

Buhler Versatile dealer.

WARNING: NEVER LOOSEN, REMOVE OR

DISCONNECT ANY HOSE IN THE AIR-

CONDITIONING SYSTEM.

THE AIR-CONDITIONER HOSES ARE UNDER

PRESSURE AT ALL TIMES, EVEN WHEN THE

TRACTOR IS NOT RUNNING.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SERVICE THE AIR-

CONDITIONING SYSTEM. IT IS POSSIBLE TO

SUFFER SEVERE FROSTBITE OR INJURY

FROM ESCAPING REFRIGERANT. SPECIAL
