ip ssh port

The ip ssh port Global Configuration mode command specifies the TCP port

used by the SSH server. Use the no form of this command to restore the

default configuration.

Syntax
ip ssh port

port-number

no ip ssh port

Parameters

port-number

—Specifies the TCP port number to be used by the SSH

server. (Range: 1–65535).

Default Configuration
The default TCP port number is 22.

Command Mode
Global Configuration mode

Example
The following example specifies that TCP port number 8080 is used by the

SSH server.

console(config)# ip ssh port 8080

ip ssh password-auth

Use the ip ssh password-auth Global Configuration mode command to

enable password authentication of incoming SSH sessions.
Use the no form of this command to disable this function.

ip ssh password-auth
