Example

The following example enables 802.1X globally.

console(config)# dot1x system-auth-control

dot1x timeout quiet-period

Use the dot1x timeout quiet-period Interface Configuration mode command

to set the time interval that the device remains in a quiet state following a

failed authentication exchange (for example, if the client provided an invalid

password). Use the no form of this command to restore the default

configuration.

Syntax

dot1x timeout quiet-period

seconds

no dot1x timeout quiet-period

Parameters

seconds

—Specifies the time interval in seconds that the device remains in

a quiet state following a failed authentication exchange with a client.

(Range: 10–65535 seconds).

Default Configuration

The default quiet period is 60 seconds.
