mdix
Use the mdix IInterface (Ethernet) Configuration mode command to enable
cable crossover on a given interface. Use the no form of this command to
disable cable crossover.
Syntax
mdix {on | auto}
no mdix
Parameters
• on—Enables manual MDIX.
•
auto—Enables automatic MDI/MDIX.
Default Configuration
The default setting is Auto.
Command Mode
Interface (Ethernet) Configuration mode
User Guidelines
This command is not supported on 10G fiber ports.
Example
The following example enables automatic crossover on port gi0/1.

console(config-if)# mdix auto
