ip ospf dead-interval (Interface context)

Use the

ip ospf dead-interval

command to configure the interval before

declaring the neighbor as dead. The no form of this command sets the
dead-interval to its default. The default is 40.

Note:

This command is executed from the Serial, Loopback, Fast Ethernet, and

FabricFastEthernet interfaces.

Syntax

[no] ip ospf dead-interval

<seconds>

Parameters

ip ospf dead-interval 15

ip ospf hello-interval (Interface Mode)

Use the

ip ospf hello-interval

command to specify the time interval between

hello packets the router sends. The no form of this command sets the hello-interval
to its default. The default is 10 seconds.

Note:

This command is executed from the Serial, Loopback, Fast Ethernet, and

FabricFastEthernet interfaces.

Syntax

[no] ip ospf hello-interval

<seconds>

ip ospf hello-interval 5

seconds

An integer from 1 to 415029.

seconds

An integer from 1 to 65535.
