9.5 Remote box
The 6.2148.010 Remote box allows the control of Metrohm instruments
which cannot be connected directly to the MSB interface of the pH/Ion
Meter. This applies, for example, to Dosimat Plus devices, series 7xx
stirrers and sample changers. The remote box therefore provides a
connection between the MSB interface and the remote connection of
the instrument to be controlled.

The connection of the Remote box to the instruments is described in
Section 2.3.3 and 2.3.4.
If the Remote box is used then other Metrohm instruments with an MSB
connection can also be used. This means that, for example, an 801 Stir-
rer and an 804 Ti-Stand can be connected to the free MSB connection
of the Remote box. However, it is not possible to connect a second
Remote box.
