Each channel on MIM-8ASE/MIM-16ASE has only one LED. The following table describes the LEDs on
the panel.

Interface cable
Three types of interface cables can be connected to the MIM-8ASE/MIM-16ASE and reach three types
of peer devices.

If the peer device is a transmission device and provides an RJ-45 interface, use a straight-through
cable to connect it to the MIM-8ASE/MIM-16ASE.

This cable is optional. You need to order it when purchasing a MIM-8ASE/MIM-16ASE.

If the peer device is a dumb terminal and provides an RJ-45 interface, use a dumb terminal cable to
connect it to the MIM-8ASE/MIM-16ASE. The two ends of the dumb terminal cable are male and
female RJ-45 connectors. Connect the male RJ-45 connector to the MIM-8ASE/MIM-16ASE, and
the female RJ-45 connector to the dumb device through a straight-through cable.
