Feedback Tab Settings

Follow these steps to configure the Feedback tab parameters.

1. Expand the Safety folder to gain access to the Feedback tab.

2. Under Safety Configuration, choose Feedback.

The Feedback tab dialog box opens.

3. From the Feedback Mode pull-down menu, choose Single Encoder

(default) as the parameter value for redundant processing and cross-
checking of the single encoder input in a 1oo2 architecture.

4. Check the box to enable encoder power supply monitoring.

to determine the voltage used

for your encoder type.

5. From the Primary Feedback Type pull-down menu, choose Sin/Cos as the

parameter value.

6. Enter 1024 per Rev as the Primary Feedback Cycles parameter value.

In this example, 1024 cycles per revolution is the feedback type resolution.
Yours could be different.

7. From the Primary Feedback Polarity pull-down menu, choose Positive

(default) as the parameter value, indicating that the feedback device shaft
rotates in the same direction as the motor shaft.
