Views
Views support
and provide alternative presentations as well as ways to navigate the information in
the
. For example, the
displays projects and other resources currently being used.
Views also have their own menus. To open the menu for a view, right-click the icon at the left end of the
view’s title bar. Some views also have their own toolbars. The actions represented by buttons on view
toolbars only affect the items within that view.
A view might appear by itself, or stacked with other views in a tabbed notebook. The layout of a
can be changed by opening and closing views and by docking them in different positions in the
window.
Fast views
Fast views are hidden views that can be quickly opened and closed, and function similar to other views
except they do not occupy space in the
window. Fast views are represented by toolbar buttons
on the fast view bar, which is the horizontal toolbar initially on the bottom left of the
window.
Clicking on the toolbar button for a fast view opens the view temporarily in the current
. Clicking
outside that view hides it again. The fast view bar can also be docked on the right and left side of the
window.
New fast views can be created by dragging any open view to the shortcut bar or by selecting Fast View from
the menu that opens when the icon at the left end of the view’s title bar is clicked.
