Format

Selects the port’s operating mode.

Values: Sync, Async
Default: Sync

Flow Control

Selects the type of flow control to be used if the port is asynchronous.

Values: None, Xon/Xoff, RTS/CTS
Default: None

Character Size

Selects the number of bits required to make up one asynchronous character.

Values: Five, Six, Seven, Eight

Default:Eight

Parity

Sets the parity bit if the port is asynchronous.

Values: None, Odd, Even
Default: None

Stop Bit

Selects the number of bits required to end the asynchronous character.

Values: 1, 2
Default: 1

Current Pin Status

The Current Pin Status, which shows the state of the RS-232 pins, is also
displayed on the Serial interface screens.

Ethernet (IP Details) Screen

If you select “Ethernet” from the Interfaces screen, you will bring up an IP
Details screen (Figure 4.12) that lets you view and/or modify the IP
parameters listed below.

Unit IP Address

A unique network address assigned to this unit.

Subnet Mask

Defines the network portion of the unit’s IP address.
