Click 104 Contact Closure Module

The Click 104 contact closure device is similar to the Click 114 in that they both have four

output channels, but differs in that it is a DIN rail–mounted device, rather than a rack card,

making it useful for installations that have no detector racks.

Note

The Click 104 has four output channels. If you need more output channels than that,
you’ll need to use multiple Click 104s and daisy-chain them together.

Follow the steps below to connect to your Click 104:
1 Connect a patch cable to the Click 222 RJ-11 jack for the sensor you want to get data

from. Connect the other end to either of the RJ-11 jacks on the faceplate of the Click

104.

2 If you are using multiple Click 104s, you’ll need to daisy-chain them together. This is

why there are two RJ-11 jacks on the Click 104. Connect a patch cable from the second

RJ-11 jack on the first Click 104 to an RJ-11 jack on the second Click 104. Repeat this

as many times as needed to connect all necessary Click 104s. These extra 104s will need

to have their channel input mapping changed; more on that later.

3 If there are multiple sensors that need to be taken care of, repeat this steps using the

other data RJ-11 jack on the Click 222 (and, if necessary, on other Click 222s; for in-

stance, for a four-sensor intersection, you’d need two Click 222s to cover all four sen-

sors).
