IP Routing Configuration Guide

The

ip-router show summary drops

command shows information about routes that were deleted or not added

due to low memory, as well as the current threshold settings.

11.18.1

Assigning IP/IPX Interfaces

To enable routing on the RS, you must assign an IP or IPX interface to a VLAN. To assign an IP or IPX interface named
‘RED’ to the ‘BLUE’ VLAN, enter the following command:

You can also assign an IP or IPX interface directly to a physical port.

BGP

level-1
level-2

A new BGP route is added only if it is the only BGP route to
the given destination.

Maximum of 3 routes allowed to a given destination. If there
are more than 3 routes to a given destination, a new route
replaces an existing route.

level-3

Maximum of 2 routes allowed to a given destination. If there
are more than 2 routes to a given destination, a new route
replaces an existing route.

level-4

No new routes are added.

rs(config)# interface create ip RED address-netmask
